The automotive industry's competitive landscape is being redefined by artificial intelligence, according to Tang Daosheng, Senior Executive Vice President of Tencent Group and CEO of the Cloud and Smart Industries Group. He emphasized that the gap between automakers in the future will no longer depend solely on possessing smart technology, but rather on which companies can scale and systematize AI implementation more rapidly.
Under its "Vehicle-Cloud Integration" strategy, Tencent Smart Mobility provides automakers with reliable foundational models, robust engineering capabilities, and a diverse application ecosystem. These resources are helping transform vehicles from traditional means of transportation into perceptive, thinking, and actionable mobile intelligent entities. The business currently serves 100% of leading automakers and mobility-related companies, with deep AI collaborations established with over 40 major automotive manufacturers.
To support the industry's intelligent transformation, Tencent has developed end-to-end capabilities spanning from model development and engineering to practical application. For instance, the latest Hy3 preview model of Tencent Hunyuan has achieved significant improvements in complex reasoning and Agent capabilities while using fewer activation parameters. These advancements have been effectively validated in products such as Yuanbao, WorkBuddy, and ima.
Additionally, Tencent offers local cloud services and compliance support to assist Chinese automakers in their global expansion efforts. The company has already provided services to more than 50 major Chinese automotive manufacturers and autonomous driving technology companies.
