Wedbush analysts stated that investors have begun to express concern over the valuations of AI companies, but fourth-quarter earnings reports from tech firms should validate the AI development trajectory.
These analysts remarked, "We believe that, led by the large-cap tech companies, tech stocks are set for a very strong fourth-quarter earnings season, as our field checks indicate exceptionally robust enterprise demand for AI from cloud giants Microsoft, Alphabet, and Amazon during the quarter."
The analysts also noted that, furthermore, Wall Street likely continues to underestimate the scale of expenditure that will flow into the AI domain, and the tech giants are expected to ramp up their investments, reflected in "aggressive preliminary capital expenditure figures through 2026."
