Over 200 white-collar employees from China Life Financial Center and their families recently gathered at Lujiazui Riverside Plaza for a unique autumn cycling event. Co-organized by the Shanghai Lujiazui Financial Trade Zone Labor Union and China Life Financial Center, the "Autumn Sunshine" themed activity aimed to help busy financial district workers unwind during the golden season while experiencing the charm of urban slow living.
Participants rode uniform shared bicycles along the riverside greenway, creating a moving panorama against the autumn breeze. The sunlit pathway took on special beauty with swaying tree branches providing natural shade. Dressed in white themed T-shirts, cyclists periodically stopped to photograph the glittering river and iconic skyline.
At the 5km rest point, organizers served warm ginger tea and snacks, allowing riders to recharge while enjoying waterfront views. All finishers received commemorative gift packs containing custom seed badges and eco-friendly vehicle models, promoting green transportation concepts.
The route featured cultural elements including a stop at the Aurora Museum, a landmark institution that appeared particularly dignified in autumn sunlight. "We pass by daily but rarely appreciate these treasures," remarked a banking professional participant. "This harvest season offers precious family time to explore ancient Chinese art." The museum arranged exclusive access with knowledgeable docents for the cycling group.
The Lujiazui Financial Trade Zone Labor Union plans more such wellness programs to enrich white-collar workers' lives beyond office hours, enhancing workplace satisfaction and fostering a livable, business-friendly community atmosphere.
