On August 28, at the 2026 interim results briefing, Vice President Wang Dajun of Agricultural Bank Of China Limited stated that technology finance leads the nation's "five key financial pillars". He emphasized that it is a vital driver for cultivating new productive forces, achieving high-level technological self-reliance, and bolstering the country's ambitions in science, technology, and finance.
Wang Dajun highlighted that the bank has firmly implemented central government directives by designating technology finance as a core strategic mission. The bank is steadily enhancing its professional and specialized service frameworks to improve the quality and efficiency of its offerings in this sector. As of the end of June, ABC had served over 360,000 tech-focused enterprises cumulatively, with growth in loans to small and medium-sized tech enterprises outpacing its industry peers.
Wang further pointed out that equity investment is a critical component for harmonizing the cycle among technology, industry, and finance, playing an indispensable role within the overall tech finance system. The bank is strictly adhering to State Council mandates and regulatory requirements, methodically advancing relevant pilot projects while continuously strengthening its investment management capabilities.
Looking ahead to the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Wang Dajun noted that ABC will persist in prioritizing technology finance as the top strategic focus. The bank aims to integrate services across the entire innovation chain, the full lifecycle of enterprise growth, and a comprehensive tech-service ecosystem. This will further elevate service quality and efficiency, solidifying its role as the nation's primary financial force supporting high-level technological independence and the construction of a modern industrial system.
