Stock News08-21 11:36

Everg Services (06666) saw its shares jump nearly 7% during Tuesday morning trading. At the time of writing, the stock was up 5.66%, trading at HK$1.12, with turnover reaching HK$24.62 million.

On the news front, Everg Services announced that the company has been informed by the liquidator that several potential buyers have been invited to conduct due diligence on the group and to submit non-binding proposals for a potential transaction in September. To date, neither the company nor the liquidator has entered into any formal or legally binding agreement with any potential buyer regarding the potential deal, and the timing for signing any final transaction documents has not yet been determined.

According to public information, the transaction involving 51.016% of Everg Services' shares was terminated on June 25. The liquidator of China Evergrande Group and potential buyers failed to reach an agreement after the exclusive negotiation period expired, and no legally binding sale and purchase agreement was signed between the parties.

However, the announcement also stated that the liquidator is actively continuing discussions with its financial advisors to seek other potential buyers to acquire the controlling interest in the company held by China Evergrande Group and CEG Holdings.
