Fosun Pharma Unit Secures Exclusive Global License for T-MATE™ Platform

Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. (SH: 600196) announced that its controlling subsidiary Henlius has entered into a Collaboration and License Agreement with Amberstone on September 23, 2026.

Under the agreement, Henlius has obtained an exclusive global license from Amberstone to research, develop, manufacture, and commercialize two collaboration products targeting agreed antigens based on the T-MATE™ technology platform, specifically T Cell Engager (TCE) products, for all human therapeutic applications.

The T-MATE™ platform is Amberstone's proprietary tumor microenvironment-activating technology. It modulates the activation state of TCE molecules in both tumor microenvironments and peripheral tissues, thereby enhancing selectivity toward tumor tissues while reducing potential impact on normal tissues. This approach aims to address the narrow therapeutic window and safety limitations commonly seen with traditional TCE products in solid tumor treatment.

In connection with this collaboration, Henlius will make payments to Amberstone of up to $236 million in upfront fees, research and development costs, and development and regulatory milestone payments, as well as tiered sales milestone payments of up to $652 million.

The partnership is designed to leverage the respective technical strengths and research capabilities of both parties, jointly advancing the research and development of new products in the oncology field and continuously enriching the company's product pipeline in this therapeutic area.
