Since 2018, Daqing Oil Field has intensively developed the Sichuan-Chongqing exploration zone, adhering to an integrated exploration and development approach. Key projects include the Heshen 4 pilot development test area, the Maokou Formation capacity construction project, and the Wusheng Natural Gas Purification Plant. These initiatives have boosted daily natural gas production capacity from 600,000 cubic meters to 5.7 million cubic meters, accelerating progress toward an annual production target of 2 billion cubic meters.

The steady growth in natural gas capacity within the zone has provided reliable support for regional industrial operations and residential heating, aiding high-quality economic development in the area.
