Macau gaming stocks surged collectively. As of press time, Melco International Development (00200) rose 6.2% to HK$5.31, Galaxy Entertainment (00027) gained 3.86% to HK$42.48, MGM China (02282) climbed 3.16% to HK$16.64, and Wynn Macau (01128) increased 2.06% to HK$6.95.
The rally comes as Macau hosts several major events this month. The 72nd Macau Grand Prix will be held over four days starting tomorrow (November 13–16), coinciding with the 15th National Games and the 25th Macau Food Festival, which are expected to attract a large number of visitors.
Additionally, UBS research noted that Macau's gross gaming revenue (GGR) averaged approximately MOP711 million per day in the first nine days of November, roughly in line with the MOP715 million daily average post-National Day Golden Week. This aligns with the typical seasonal pattern of a 1% growth in early November compared to post-holiday levels, reflecting a robust demand environment.
