On May 22, employees of Dreame Technology arrived at Shanghai Disney Resort. Some staff shared videos stating, "We're already on site, ran into many colleagues in the park—it's a massive team-building event. I heard founder Yu Hao is personally greeting 'guests' at the entrance, and there will be exclusive Dreame character interactions tonight." Footage shows Yu Hao wearing character-themed headbands while welcoming employees at the gate, surrounded by crowds for photos. An assistant shared a video of Shanghai Disney Resort President Andrew and Dreame CEO Yu Hao exchanging gifts. Yu Hao also posted a video with numerous employees, addressing them on-site: "I hope our employees feel Dreame is a place of dreams, where we can joyfully create the future together. Wishing everyone a great time!"
On May 20, Dreame Technology announced that to celebrate its inaugural "520 Dreame Day," the company invited all employees to enjoy Shanghai Disney Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland. On May 21, CEO Yu Hao released a video explaining the company-wide Disney invitation. Yu Hao noted that approximately 50,000 people would attend, including office staff, R&D personnel, frontline workers, and some family members. Ticket and related expenses alone amount to around 40 million yuan. As the event falls on a workday, salaries will be paid as usual; factoring in wages, total costs are estimated at 70-80 million yuan.
In the video, Yu Hao mentioned that he did not calculate the expenses when deciding to treat employees to Disney, only learning the figure later. He stated, "When the company earns money, it should be spent with employees—I can't spend much alone." Citing other firms as examples, he emphasized that caring for employee welfare reflects a company's growth phase.
Online reactions have been mixed: some netizens questioned if it was a publicity stunt, suggesting cash bonuses would be more practical, while others praised the move, acknowledging the benefits for employees and commending the CEO's approach.
