The ChiNext Index surged more than 4% during afternoon trading, while the Shenzhen Component Index rose 2.5% and the Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.7%. Leading the gains were sectors including batteries, lithium mining, securities, and memory chips. Across the broader market, more than 4,300 individual stocks recorded advances.
