Meitu Posts 30.9% Revenue Rise and Up to 40% Profit Growth in H1 2026 Update

Bulletin Express07-30

Meitu reported solid top-line and earnings momentum for the six months ended 30 June 2026, driven by expanding subscriber numbers and deeper monetisation of its photo, video and design portfolio.

Monthly active users stood at about 282 million at period-end. Paying subscribers increased to 18.44 million, supported by a 29.8% year-on-year jump in productivity-app subscribers to 2.35 million and an 18.8% rise in leisure-app subscribers to 16.09 million.

Annual recurring revenue from AI-driven productivity applications reached approximately RMB0.62 billion, up 47.8% year-on-year. Within this segment, Kaipai more than doubled and Vmake more than tripled their ARR, while new product MVLAND doubled its ARR within three months of launch. User engagement remained robust, with paid AI credit consumption expanding by more than 46% quarter-on-quarter in both the first and second quarters.

Core revenue from photo, video and design products grew 30.9% year-on-year to roughly RMB1.80 billion. Productivity applications contributed more than 18% of this figure after rising 40.1% year-on-year on a like-for-like basis, excluding the discontinued stock-photo operation. Leisure applications delivered 32.3% growth and accounted for about 82% of segment revenue, reflecting continued progress in international markets.

Adjusted net profit attributable to shareholders is projected to climb between 36% and 40% year-on-year, as accelerating revenue and higher average revenue per paying user outpaced operating-expense growth and widened margins. On an IFRS basis, net profit is expected to increase by at least 35% from the prior-year period.

Management noted that the unaudited figures are based on preliminary internal accounts; full interim results are scheduled for release in August 2026. Shareholders and investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in Meitu shares.
