Guangzhou is intensifying efforts to implement key projects across several strategic sectors.
The city's draft "15th Five-Year Plan for Commercial Development" outlines a focus on advancing major initiatives in intelligent connected and new energy vehicles, ultra-high-definition video and new displays, green petrochemicals and new materials, intelligent equipment and robotics, artificial intelligence, semiconductors and integrated circuits, and the low-altitude economy.
A core objective is to cultivate a group of leading intermediate goods enterprises, including high-tech firms, manufacturing single champions, and specialized, sophisticated, distinctive, and innovative companies.
The plan also aims to accelerate the development of intermediate goods trade within foreign trade transformation and upgrading bases, fostering a batch of well-known brands and "chain master" enterprises.
Furthermore, it supports companies in utilizing industrial internet, big data, and artificial intelligence technologies for digital transformation to enhance production efficiency and product quality, thereby propelling intermediate goods trade towards higher-end, digital, and intelligent development.
