On November 21, BYD officially unveiled its epoch-making flagship sedan, the Han L, featuring new color options and over-the-air (OTA) updates. The Han L EV is equipped with the Super e-Platform's all-domain kilovolt architecture, offering "megawatt fast charging and oil-electric parity," effectively eliminating range anxiety for pure electric vehicles. Meanwhile, the Han L DM comes standard with the fifth-generation DM technology, balancing exceptional performance and efficiency.
The Han L introduces a multi-dimensional upgrade experience, including a "parking space to parking space" navigation assist function, alongside comprehensive enhancements in new colors, smart ecosystem, and safety configurations.
The Han L EV is available in three variants, with post-subsidy prices ranging from RMB 204,800 to RMB 264,800. The Han L DM also offers three variants, priced between RMB 194,800 and RMB 244,800 after subsidies. Additionally, BYD is offering premium benefits worth up to RMB 52,000, including trade-in subsidies (valid until December 31).
**Pioneering New Energy Technology** The Han L EV, featuring BYD’s integrated three-electric technology, sets a new benchmark with 16 global firsts. It incorporates the world’s first mass-produced all-domain kilovolt high-voltage architecture, flash-charging batteries, and a 30,000-rpm motor. With a peak charging power of 1,000 kW, it adds 400 km of range in just five minutes. Performance-wise, the single-motor version delivers 580 kW, while the all-wheel-drive variant boasts 1,102 hp, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 305 km/h—breaking the ceiling for pure electric performance. This powertrain has been awarded the "China Heart" 2025 Top 10 New Energy Vehicle Powertrain Award.
The hybrid version, the Han L DM, features the fifth-gen DM technology, including DM-p King Hybrid and DM-i Super Hybrid. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in as little as 3.9 seconds, with a fuel consumption as low as 3.9 L/100 km in hybrid mode. It also offers a pure electric range of 200 km and a combined range of 1,400 km, optimizing energy efficiency and power across all scenarios.
**New Colors Showcasing Artistic Aesthetics** Design-wise, the Han L adopts the Loong Face aesthetic, blending Chinese heritage with a youthful, sporty appeal. To cater to personalized tastes, BYD introduces two new colors: Olive Green and Xizi Blue, merging Eastern aesthetics with modern craftsmanship.
Olive Green uses a low-saturation, high-reflectance metallic paint with a nano-level transparent pigment and micron-level aluminum powder, creating a green-to-gold gradient effect. Xizi Blue incorporates BASF’s pearl-coated aluminum powder, shifting from high-saturation pearl white in bright light to a soft, clear blue in low light—inspired by West Lake’s poetic beauty.
For enthusiasts, the Han L offers a blacked-out sports kit, including a floating black roof, darkened window trims, and gray interior accents with tiger-yellow stitching for a dynamic look.
**Smart Tech Redefining Interaction** The Han L’s intelligent cockpit and driver-assist system receive major OTA upgrades. The DiLink 150 high-end smart cockpit features a refreshed UI with light/dark adaptive themes and redesigned app icons tailored to younger users. Dynamic themes with seasonal landscapes and hand-drawn art, along with three mascot characters, enhance the driving experience.
The DiPilot 300 advanced driver-assist system debuts the "parking space to parking space" navigation assist. After setting a route, the vehicle autonomously exits parking, recognizes barriers, and parks at the destination—all without driver intervention.
**Smart Ecosystem for Seamless Living** BYD collaborates with partners like Midea to integrate smart home and vehicle connectivity. Users can check vehicle status, remotely activate climate control, or control home appliances via voice commands. The "Home Mode" automatically triggers lights and heating when approaching home.
Additional partnerships with brands like Goodbaby, Breo, and Insta360 introduce smart child seats, pet seats, massage wearables, gaming controllers, and action cameras, enriching the ownership experience.
**Limited-Time Offers** BYD is offering a premium exterior package (originally priced at RMB 13,000) for just RMB 5,000, including Olive Green/Xizi Blue paint, black roof, sport kit, matte black wheels, and gold brake calipers. A super trade-in benefit of up to RMB 15,000 is also available (valid until December 31).
