Printed Circuit Board Stocks Extend Gains as Copper-Clad Laminates Kick Off Price Hike Wave; Supply-Demand Imbalance May Persist Until 2027 or Beyond

Stock News09:42

PCB concept stocks continued their recent upward trend. At the time of writing, Delton (01989) rose 7.78% to HK$202.2; KB Laminates (01888) increased 4.39% to HK$37.58; Kingboard HLDG (00148) climbed 3.61% to HK$46.46; and Hans CNC (03200) advanced 2.18% to HK$140.8. The movement follows reports that Guangdong Kingboard Laminates Sales Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of industry leader Kingboard HLDG, has issued a formal price increase notice. Effective immediately, the company is raising prices for FR-4 copper-clated laminates and prepreg by 10%. In addition, high-end CCL suppliers such as Taiwan Union Technology, ITEQ, and Elite Material have also recently begun communicating price increases to their customers. According to Shanxi Securities analyst Ji Yongjie, considering the strong sustainability of the current AI-driven super cycle, the sector is expected to remain in a high-growth phase for the next 3–5 years. This will sustain robust demand for high-end copper-clad laminates, and the tight supply-demand situation for CCL is projected to last until 2027 or even longer. Attention is recommended on the copper-clad laminate and upstream materials industry chain.
