Shares of Fujian Supertech Advanced Material Co.,Ltd. (688398.SH) jumped nearly 6% during Monday morning trading, with the stock last changing hands at 23.06 yuan, up 6.12%, on turnover of 32.74 million yuan.
The rally comes as China's newly revised energy efficiency standard for refrigerators, which took effect in June, is expected to significantly expand demand for vacuum insulation panel (VIP) materials. Domestic penetration of VIP materials in refrigerators currently sits below 5%, according to Changjiang Securities, leaving substantial headroom for growth when benchmarked against European and Japanese markets. As the global industry leader, Fujian Supertech is well-positioned to capture both volume growth and market share gains.
Beyond home appliances, cold-chain logistics is emerging as the company's fastest-growing non-appliance application segment. Fujian Supertech has extended its passive vacuum insulation technology to the 2-8掳C refrigerated transport of biological medicines, covering the cold-chain delivery of drugs such as semaglutide and insulin, with the technology now achieving mature commercial deployment.
Looking further ahead, vacuum glass represents the company's second growth curve, leveraging the same vacuum insulation technology platform. The extension of its high-barrier film platform and applications in cryogenic and aerospace sectors will ultimately determine the company's longer-term valuation ceiling.
