China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited, through its subsidiary China Overseas Land & Investment, has successfully acquired a land parcel designated as XACR-2025-024 in the startup area of Xiongan New Area. The site spans approximately 23.8 acres and is planned for the development of the Xiongan China Construction Smart City Reception Center. This project aims to establish a multifunctional commercial complex integrating green and intelligent building technologies, talent training, and international exchange platforms.
As early as 2017, a consortium led by China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited won the bid and completed the first major construction project following the establishment of Xiongan New Area—the Xiongan Citizen Service Center. This project set an initial benchmark for the new area’s development with its emphasis on sustainability, speed, and quality.
Wang Wanjin, General Manager of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited's Xiongan Headquarters, stated that since participating in the investment and construction of the Xiongan Citizen Service Center in 2017, the company has witnessed the firm determination of Xiongan to follow through with its master plan. He also acknowledged the practical and efficient support provided by relevant departments such as the Xiongan Business and Investment Promotion Bureau. If the construction of the Xiongan Citizen Service Center represented the company's initial effort to serve national strategy, then the development of the Xiongan China Construction Smart City Reception Center signifies a deeper commitment to enhancing Xiongan’s capabilities.
As the implementing entity, China Overseas Land & Investment will leverage the comprehensive industrial chain strengths of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited. Using the Smart City Reception Center as a platform, the project will focus on green and low-carbon development, intelligent construction, and digital operations. It will actively introduce the company’s superior industrial resources to create a demonstration window for core construction technologies and an innovative platform for industrial cooperation and exchange.
The launch of the Xiongan China Construction Smart City Reception Center marks another significant achievement for Xiongan New Area in efficiently absorbing non-capital functions from Beijing through market-oriented mechanisms.
