SH PHARMA (02607) Halts Clinical Trial and Further Development of Salvianolic Acid A for Injection

SH PHARMA (02607) has announced its decision to terminate the clinical trial and subsequent development of Salvianolic Acid A for Injection. This move is aimed at optimizing the allocation of research and development resources and concentrating on more advantageous projects.

The decision was made after a comprehensive evaluation of factors including the drug's future market value, business synergies, and the costs of further development. Salvianolic Acid A for Injection is a Class 1.2 innovative traditional Chinese medicine, intended for the treatment of coronary heart disease and angina pectoris.

In June 2016, the project received approval from the National Medical Products Administration to commence clinical trials. It is currently in the Phase II clinical trial stage. To date, the total cumulative investment in this project amounts to approximately RMB 37.43 million. The company has decided to cease the clinical trial and further development of this project to better allocate its R&D resources.
