CSPC Pharma Secures US$10.00 million Milestone Payment from AstraZeneca under Small-Molecule R&D Pact

Bulletin Express08-05

CSPC Pharmaceutical Group Limited (CSPC Pharma) confirmed receipt of a US$10.00 million milestone payment from AstraZeneca on 5 August 2026. The payment follows AstraZeneca’s exercise of a license option for one of the pre-clinical candidate (PCC) programs covered by the strategic research collaboration signed on 13 June 2025.

Under the agreement, CSPC Pharma is responsible for discovering oral small-molecule PCCs targeting multiple disease areas, including immunological disorders. The latest milestone indicates that research and development activities are advancing as scheduled.

The collaboration grants AstraZeneca rights to develop, manufacture and commercialise licensed products arising from the selected PCCs. CSPC Pharma emphasised that future development, manufacturing and commercial outcomes remain subject to uncertainties and pledged to issue further announcements on any material developments.

Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities. The board of CSPC Pharma is chaired by Mr. Cai Dong Chen.
