Playmates Toys Limited reported a reduction in its outstanding share capital following the cancellation of 1.17 million ordinary shares on 01 September 2026. The cancelled shares were originally repurchased on seven trading days between 02 July and 16 July 2026 at a volume-weighted average price of HK$0.4787 per share, representing 0.10 % of the company’s pre-cancellation issued shares.
\n\nAfter the transaction, the number of issued shares fell from 1.14 billion to 1.13 billion.
\n\nSeparate from the cancellation, a further 128,000 shares—repurchased on 24 August, 31 August and 01 September 2026 at an average price range of HK$0.435–HK$0.465—remain outstanding and are pending cancellation. These shares account for 0.01 % of the current issued share base.
\n\nOn 01 September 2026 the company also executed a fresh on-market buy-back of 12,000 shares at HK$0.465 each, for a total consideration of HK$5,580. These shares are designated for cancellation.
\n\nUnder the repurchase mandate approved on 22 May 2026, Playmates Toys is authorised to buy back up to 117.03 million shares. To date, it has repurchased 22.98 million shares, equivalent to 1.96 % of the shares outstanding on the mandate date.
\n\nA 30-day moratorium on new share issues or treasury-share sales is in effect until 01 October 2026, in line with Hong Kong Listing Rule 10.06(3)(a).
