Giant Biogene (02367) Drops Another 4%, Nearing Previous Low as Citi Notes Q3 Was Not Encouraging Enough; Market Focuses on Double 11 Performance

Stock News10-22

According to Zhitong Finance APP, Giant Biogene Holding Co., Ltd. (02367) fell over 4% in early trading, hitting an intraday low of HK$21.08, approaching its historical low of HK$20.485. As of press time, the stock was down 4.12% at HK$21.42, with a turnover of HK$15.5817 million.

Citi released a research report stating that China's cosmetics online sales growth slowed in Q3 2026 compared to the first half, mainly dragged down by international brands, as the market entered the off-season after the 618 shopping festival, consistent with the trend in National Bureau of Statistics retail data. Within the bank's coverage, Giant Biogene's brand online GMV is recovering from a low base, but Q3 was not yet encouraging enough.

Zhitong Finance APP pointed out in an article titled "Giving Back All Previous Gains Within Three Months, Can Double 11 Launch a Stock Price Comeback for Giant Biogene (02367)?" that among the highlights of the Double 11 event, investors need to observe not only the sales performance data of the event but also Giant Biogene's Comfy Focus Series S+ level new product, the Ultra-Permeation Stick, launched in April this year. The sales performance during this Double 11 may, to a certain extent, verify whether it can serve as a "strategic relay product" after Giant Biogene's major single product, the Collagen Stick, thereby directly determining whether the market believes the company can switch from a "single hit product dependence" to a "product matrix driven" logic.
