Dandong, Liaoning: Fortifying the Safety Line for Edible Agricultural Products

Deep News01-23

On January 22, it was learned from the Dandong Municipal Market Supervision Administration in Liaoning Province that the administration recently launched a simultaneous special rectification campaign targeting both wholesale and retail segments of edible agricultural products across the city. Utilizing the colloidal gold rapid testing method, over 300 batches were swiftly tested, with all results coming back qualified. During inspections, law enforcement officers meticulously verified core information such as the origin of agricultural products and supply channels. On-site, they educated business operators on the regulatory requirements for obtaining and retaining the Edible Agricultural Products Commitment Compliance Certificate, thereby reinforcing their sense of primary responsibility. Furthermore, the standardized collection, bagging, and sealing of agricultural product samples were carried out. Relying on rapid testing vehicles or on-site market laboratories, pesticide residue tests were conducted immediately. Test results were photographed and determined via a mini-program, with data uploaded in real-time. This process establishes a closed-loop supervision model of "on-site sampling—immediate testing—instant results—rapid problem handling," effectively enhancing regulatory efficiency and preventing substandard agricultural products from entering the market from the source.
