Li Shengyi has been ordered to resign from his position as General Manager of Sichuan Health, and all other relevant management personnel have been suspended. Follow-up actions will involve serious disciplinary measures against personnel responsible for dereliction of duty, based on conclusions from government regulatory authorities and internal investigations.
Beijing Tong Ren Tang Group stated that, upon investigation, the Group's authorization for Sichuan Health to use the "Tong Ren Tang" trade name and trademark expired on March 21, 2021, and has not been renewed. Currently, the Group's working team stationed in Sichuan is actively cooperating with the立案调查 (case filing investigation) by a three-level joint investigation team from Sichuan Province, Chengdu City, and Xindu District, and has submitted supporting documents related to Sichuan Health's infringement activities. Furthermore, Tong Ren Tang Group is continuously promoting the removal of Sichuan Health's products from shelves, recalling the involved products, issuing declaration letters to major e-commerce platforms, conducting daily monitoring, and pushing for coordinated clean-up efforts to block the circulation channels of the implicated products.
Following the incident, Beijing Tong Ren Tang Group has initiated a special campaign for strict brand management, conducting comprehensive inspections on brand usage across enterprises at all levels. As of December 24, cumulative inspections of affiliated units/stores have exceeded 520 instances; inspections of links to infringing products and stores on key e-commerce platforms have been completed, with nearly 600 complaints filed against infringing products; complaints have been lodged against over 120违规店铺 (non-compliant stores), such as "Tong Ren Tang Genuine Direct Sales" and "Beijing Tong Ren Tang Nourishing Specialties," which misuse the "Tong Ren Tang" name, resolutely cracking down on behaviors such as擦边 (borderline) use of the "Tong Ren Tang" trade name and non-standard trademark usage.
Addressing consumer concerns about product authenticity verification, the Group提醒 (reminds) that genuine "Tong Ren Tang" brand products clearly print the "Double Dragon Logo," and the trademark also serves as a unified identifier for officially authorized stores; on December 23, Tong Ren Tang Group's product inquiry system was launched on its official website, providing access to information for over 1,000 products covering categories like Chinese patent medicines and health foods, offering authoritative purchasing guidance.
