According to Woofun AI, capital flows into spot Solana (SOL) ETFs have reversed fundamentally, recording a net outflow of $24.8 million for the week ending October 9. This not only ended a 14-week streak of consecutive net inflows since the product launched in October 2025, but also set a new record for the largest single-week outflow in history.
Data compiled by Woofun AI shows that this outflow was nearly three times larger than the previous record of $8.9 million set in the week ending February 6. By contrast, just two weeks earlier these products had attracted $188.2 million in inflows, the second-highest weekly record, while inflows had already plunged to $2.4 million for the week ending October 2.
In the broader market, Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs and Ethereum (ETH) ETFs experienced capital withdrawals of $681.1 million and $542.1 million respectively. Ethereum ETFs have now seen net outflows for a ninth consecutive week. Zcash (ZEC) and Hyperliquid (HYPE) ETFs also recorded net outflows of $30.7 million and $9.4 million respectively.
Net assets in Solana-related funds shrank from $1.9 billion to $1.73 billion, a decline of 8.9%. However, of the total $170 million decrease in net value, only about $25 million stemmed from capital outflows, with the remainder mainly attributable to a 10.25% drop in the price of SOL. Although prices rebounded slightly over the weekend to $111.53, up 1.45% over 24 hours, the market is closely watching subsequent data covering trading through October 16 to verify whether investors are re-entering after the price correction.
In sharp contrast to the widespread outflows from major cryptocurrencies, Ripple (XRP) ETFs bucked the trend by attracting $11.3 million in capital, extending their consecutive net inflow streak to 13 weeks. The last net outflow dates back to July 10. Even as the price of XRP fell 8.2% over the same period, investor buying appetite remained undiminished, pushing cumulative net inflows to a new high of $1.8 billion, though its net asset scale of $1.57 billion remains slightly lower.
In terms of capital accumulation from January 1, 2026 to date, Solana and Ripple-related ETFs have absorbed $816.8 million and $635.5 million respectively, both significantly surpassing the $494.1 million for Bitcoin spot ETFs, indicating that capital preference is shifting toward non-Bitcoin mainstream assets.
This divergence in capital structure marks a shift in market sentiment from broad gains to selective allocation. The dramatic fluctuations in Solana ETFs may signal a fading of short-term speculative enthusiasm.
