Commerce Ministry Clarifies No Involvement in "Invest in China" Mobile Application

The Ministry of Commerce has issued a public response regarding a mobile application named "Invest in China" that falsely claims to be "sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce" and allegedly induces users to subscribe to funds on related platforms, posing significant risks. The ministry confirmed that, as of now, neither the Ministry of Commerce nor its subordinate institutions have ever organized, participated in, or operated any mobile application bearing the name "Invest in China." Additionally, no subscription activities have been conducted under the "Invest in China" name. The public is advised to remain vigilant to avoid being deceived and suffering financial losses. In response to the situation, the Ministry of Commerce has reported the matter to relevant authorities for further action. This response was issued by the Department of Foreign Investment of the Ministry of Commerce on April 3, 2026.
