Lenovo Launches ThinkSystem WA8080a G5, Supporting Eight Latest OAM2.0 GPUs

Lenovo officially unveiled its ThinkSystem WA8080a G5 during the "2025 Lenovo Heterogeneous Computing Industry Alliance Summit & AI Computing Infrastructure New Product Launch" held on December 5.

The new product supports up to eight of the latest OAM2.0 GPUs, with a maximum single-GPU thermal design power (TDP) of 1000W and liquid cooling capacity exceeding 1000W. Additionally, it features an ultra-high inter-node connection speed of 3.2Tb/s.

In terms of stability, the WA8080a G5 incorporates a 12V and 54V separated power supply design with N+N redundancy, dual BIOS/BMC flash redundancy, and real-time component-level power monitoring to ensure reliability. The system also offers high-density front and rear expandable I/O design and compatibility with mainstream GPUs from both domestic and international manufacturers.
