South Korea's central bank governor, Rhee Chang-yong, stated on Thursday that the Korean won is highly likely to strengthen against the US dollar, given the nation's robust economic fundamentals.

When asked about the recent depreciation of the won against the dollar, Rhee indicated that, based on economic fundamentals, there is a strong possibility the won will regain strength in the future.
