Gordon Tang’s Acrophyte moves to buy Suntec REIT manager from ESR

ESR Trust Management (Suntec) Limited, the manager of Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust (T82U), said on Dec, 16 2025 that Acrophyte Asset Management Pte. Ltd.—an entity controlled by Singapore businessman Gordon Tang—has signed a conditional sale-and-purchase agreement with subsidiaries of ESR Group Limited to acquire ESR’s 100% indirect interest in the manager.

The proposed transaction is subject to approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Tang and his related entities currently hold 35.7% of Suntec REIT’s units, while ESR owns 10.8%.

Both parties said they would work with the board and management team to review existing strategies and identify further value-adding initiatives once the handover is completed.
