From November 2 to 3, Yin Xirui, Secretary of the Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Yantai High-Tech Zone, led a delegation to the headquarters of Baidu in Beijing to conduct in-depth exchanges on project implementation, school-enterprise cooperation, and digital transformation. Representatives from Shandong City Service Vocational College, Yantai Vocational College, and relevant officials from the district working committee and management committee participated in the activities.
Baidu is a leading enterprise in China's artificial intelligence and cloud computing sectors, while CITIC Group is a comprehensive state-owned enterprise with substantial strength and abundant resources. During the visit, Yantai High-Tech Zone signed a tripartite cooperation agreement with Baidu and Shandong Xindu, aiming to jointly build the Baidu Intelligent Cloud (Shandong) New Quality Productive Forces Industrial Cluster. The cluster will prioritize ten major segments, including an AI large model industry base, an embodied intelligence industry base, and a future community industry base. Once completed, it will strongly drive the clustering of upstream and downstream enterprises in artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
Baidu also signed school-enterprise cooperation agreements with Shandong City Service Vocational College and Yantai Vocational College, focusing on talent cultivation and training bases in fields such as large model applications, computer science, and the Internet of Things. Next, Yantai High-Tech Zone will follow the national, provincial, and municipal deployment requirements for the development of artificial intelligence and new quality productive forces, seize opportunities in future industrial transformation, deeply implement the "AI+" initiative, accelerate the gathering of high-quality resources in the artificial intelligence industry chain, empower regional industrial transformation and upgrading, and inject strong momentum into cultivating and expanding new quality productive forces.
