Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co.,Ltd. has successfully secured a contract for transformer equipment at the Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant Units 5 and 6 project, according to a recent announcement by China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd. The company won the bid for 13 transformers in total, including 7 main transformers, 4 high-voltage auxiliary transformers, and 2 auxiliary transformers.
The Sanmen Nuclear Power Units 5 and 6 represent a key national energy project utilizing China's fully independent "Hualong One" third-generation nuclear power technology. Upon completion, the two units are expected to generate 20 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 16 million tons per year. This project holds significant strategic importance for optimizing the energy structure of the Yangtze River Delta region and ensuring secure power supply.
