A work exhibition titled "School Aesthetic Education Empowerment Action - Youth Visual Art Inheritance and Innovation Workshop Display," organized by the China Art Education Promotion Association and hosted by People's Fine Arts Publishing House, is listed in the Ministry of Education's "2025-2028 Academic Year National Competition Activities for Primary and Secondary School Students" as a national-level authoritative aesthetic education event. Since the competition launched in November 2025, Yantai No.1 High School has deeply integrated club activities with regular courses, mobilizing all members of the Hailan Folk Art Society to fully prepare for the competition and focus on creative innovation. Ultimately, the school's Hailan Folk Art Society Workshop (Cloisonné Enamel Workshop) stood out with its strong local regional characteristics and innovative intangible cultural heritage inheritance model, winning the national first prize. Yantai No.1 High School was also awarded the "Excellent Organization Award," making it the only high school in Shandong Province to simultaneously receive two national honors. Teachers Sun Xiaojing and Gao Chunyan were honored with the "Excellent Guidance Teacher Award." This national recognition is the best testament to the deep integration of "living inheritance" of intangible cultural heritage into high school classrooms and a vivid achievement of Yantai No.1 High School's consistent adherence to the "Five Aspects of Education" and its ongoing reform of campus aesthetic education.
Rooted in the coastal cultural heritage, the workshop focuses on Yantai's local coastal culture, constructing a unique creative context of "coastal defense, port, and ocean" as a trinity. Urban landmarks with high recognition, such as the Yantai Mountain Lighthouse and the East Fort, have been excavated, refined, and artistically reimagined by teachers and students, transformed into exquisite and elegant cloisonné enamel flat decorative pieces. The ancient cloisonné enamel craft, once confined to museums, has moved out of display cases and into the campus, becoming a tangible and creative carrier of urban culture, serving as a "three-dimensional fingertip history book" narrating Yantai's century-old stories of mountains and seas.
The school innovatively explores the integrated education path of "digital technology + traditional intangible cultural heritage," leveraging the Jimeng AI tool to create a dedicated "Intangible Cultural Heritage Digital Creation Assistant." From AI-powered idea generation and composition to complete hands-on processes like wire inlaying and glaze filling, the full-chain creation model enables full participation, allowing everyone to independently design, injecting new vitality into traditional craft classrooms.
In the workshop's practical classes, intangible cultural heritage inheritance is not merely single-handicraft creation. The project breaks down barriers across multiple disciplines, including information technology, local historical research, art aesthetic appreciation, and traditional handcraft skills, guiding students to simultaneously engage in historical document study, aesthetic research, and hands-on practice, thereby honing their digital media literacy and original artistic creativity. The educational outcomes of the club have consistently received recognition at the provincial level, with related practice cases published on the Shandong Provincial Department of Education's official website, the "Learning Power" Shandong platform, and the "Shandong Education News" newspaper. In 2024, club president Zhao Qi won first prize in the Shandong Provincial Youth Cultural Heritage Knowledge Competition and the national competition, fully demonstrating the school's effective integration of aesthetic education with comprehensive education.
