Kingsoft Reports First Quarter Earnings with 284% Surge in Net Profit

Stock News05-27

Kingsoft Corporation Limited (03888) announced its financial results for the three months ended March 31, 2026. The group achieved revenue of RMB 2.417 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 3%. Profit attributable to owners of the parent company amounted to RMB 1.091 billion, a significant rise of 284% compared to the same period last year. Basic earnings per share were RMB 0.79.

For the first quarter of 2026, revenue from the office software and services business reached RMB 1.613 billion, marking a 24% year-on-year growth but an 8% sequential decline. The year-on-year growth was primarily driven by expansion across the three main business segments of Beijing Kingsoft Office Software, Inc. (Kingsoft Office) and its subsidiaries (collectively referred to as the "Kingsoft Office Group"). The steady growth in the WPS individual user business was mainly attributed to continuous enhancements in AI capabilities, which drove increases in both the monthly active users of WPS AI and the user conversion rate to paid services. The strong performance of the WPS 365 business was due to ongoing iterations of AI and collaboration features, along with deeper and broader penetration among private enterprises and local state-owned enterprise clients. Growth in the WPS software licensing business was primarily fueled by sustained demand from the information technology application innovation sector. The sequential decline mainly reflected seasonal softness in the WPS software licensing business, partially offset by continued growth in the WPS 365 segment.

Revenue from the online games and other businesses for Q1 2026 was RMB 803.5 million, representing a 22% year-on-year decrease and a 7% sequential decline. These decreases were primarily due to lower revenue from certain existing games, partially offset by contributions from newly launched titles.
