On the 20th, Manzhouli Customs announced that two trucks carrying 41.76 tons of Russian oats and buckwheat successfully entered China through the Manzhouli Road Port. This marks the first-ever import of Russian agricultural products via this port, adding a critical channel to the China-Russia "New Land Grain Corridor" joint project.
Customs officers at Manzhouli Shibali conducted inspections on the imported grains. Russia, one of the world's major agricultural exporters, is often referred to as the "world's granary." The imported oats and buckwheat strictly adhered to international phytosanitary standards, ensuring full-chain safety control "from field to port." This not only guarantees the safety of agricultural products in China's domestic market but also provides consumers with high-quality imported options.
This shipment represents the first batch of imported grain transport vehicles since the official operation of Manzhouli Land Port International Logistics Co., Ltd.'s designated grain inspection facility. The facility covers 27,707 square meters with an annual handling capacity of 200,000 tons. It features specialized grain inspection zones, dedicated warehouses, and comprehensive quarantine equipment, providing robust infrastructure for large-scale agricultural imports.
Liu Lei, Director of Manzhouli Shibali Customs, stated, "Grain security is a national priority. The launch of this designated inspection facility will meet the import grain demands of Manzhouli City and surrounding regions for oil processing and livestock industries."
Manzhouli Port has implemented round-the-clock customs clearance services and other facilitation measures to enhance the efficiency of the "China-Russia New Land Grain Corridor Project."
