Zhou Hei Ya released its 10th Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing operational progress and sustainability metrics for the year ended 31 December 2025.
Governance and Ethics • Board oversight is exercised through four committees and an ESG working group; three of six directors are independent and one is female (17% of the board). • A new Discipline Inspection Committee handles integrity oversight; 11 complaints were received in 2025, with nine cases concluded. • The company updated 220 food-safety regulations and maintained 100% certification coverage (FSSC 22000, HACCP, ISO 9001) across its five plants.
Operations and Market Footprint • Total stores rose to 3,019 across 214 mainland cities, comprising 1,805 self-operated and 1,214 franchise outlets. • Over 5 million new loyalty members were added; member sales weight in offline revenue increased (undisclosed percentage). • Industrial tourism site hosted 23,363 visitors via 555 study tours.
Climate and Environment • Long-term goal: carbon neutrality by 2060. • 2025 Scope 1 emissions: 5,666 t CO₂e; Scope 2: 33,493 t CO₂e; total (Scopes 1&2): 39,159 t CO₂e, equal to 0.15 t CO₂e per RMB10,000 revenue. • Total energy use: 10,606 t standard coal equivalent; electricity purchase 45.67 million kWh; natural gas 2.18 million m³. • Photovoltaic system at Hubei site produced 3.84 million kWh, cutting 2,000 t CO₂e. • Wastewater discharge reached 514,819 t with 99%+ compliance; 100% of solid waste disposed of lawfully. • Cardboard-box recycling exceeded 1.74 million units, a 90%+ recovery rate.
Supply Chain • 268 qualified suppliers, 34.7% local; 93 suppliers signed environmental pacts. • Ten training sessions were provided to vendors; risk monitoring covers supply interruption, quality fluctuation and single-source dependence.
Product & Innovation • Shelf-stable, modified-atmosphere and vegetarian lines expanded; eight irradiated mid-shelf-life products launched. • Two first-prize national S&T awards won in collaboration with South China Agricultural University and Ningbo University.
Human Capital • Headcount: 4,050 (65% female); new hires 1,757. • Turnover: 1,870; average training hours—male 14.76, female 30.96. • Equity incentives implemented for core staff; occupational-safety training covered 100% of employees. • Zero work-related fatalities for the third consecutive year; lost-time injuries totaled 3,504 hours.
Community and Philanthropy • Donations reached RMB0.24 million, including 1,500 gift boxes to veterans’ families and 22 air-conditioners to local schools.
The report, aligned with HKEX ESG Reporting Guide and TCFD recommendations, was approved by the Board on 26 March 2026.
