Ping An Bank Co.,Ltd. Approves Promotion of Wang Jun to Vice President Role

Ping An Bank Co.,Ltd. has announced the appointment of Wang Jun as its new Vice President, following approval from the board of directors. The decision was made during the 13th Board of Directors' 7th meeting, which reviewed and passed the proposal to appoint Wang Jun to the position.

A review of Wang Jun's professional background reveals an extensive career in banking. Born in 1977, he holds a Bachelor's degree in International Economics and Trade from Xi'an Jiaotong University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Wang Jun's career trajectory began at China Everbright Bank, where he served from May 2003 to November 2006 in various roles at the Xi'an High-tech Sub-branch, including Customer Manager, Head of the Corporate Banking Department, and Assistant President. He then moved to the Xi'an Branch, holding positions such as Assistant General Manager of the Corporate Banking Department, Assistant General Manager of the Trade Finance Department, Deputy General Manager of the International Business Department, and Deputy General Manager (acting as General Manager) of the Corporate Banking Department from November 2006 to July 2008. He subsequently served as President of the Xi'an High-tech Sub-branch from July 2008 to January 2013.

In March 2013, Wang Jun transitioned to Ping An Bank Co.,Ltd., first serving as Assistant President and then Vice President of the Xi'an Branch until December 2016. He was then appointed President of the Dalian Branch from December 2016 to April 2018. Following this, he returned to the Xi'an Branch as President from April 2018 to August 2019, and then led the Guangzhou Branch as President from August 2019 to December 2023. He was subsequently appointed President of the Shenzhen Branch from December 2023 to March 2025. Since March 2025, he has served as a member of the General Party Committee of the Head Office, and from May 2025 onward, he has held the position of Assistant President of the Head Office before this latest promotion.
