Hong Kong Stock Moves: Baidu's Smart Cloud Unit Unveils Major OPC Support Initiative, Shares Climb Nearly 3%

Shares of Baidu Group-SW (09888) rose nearly 3% in Hong Kong trading, last up 2.45% at HK$104.50, with turnover reaching HK$197 million.

According to an official Baidu Smart Cloud post on August 12, the company's Super Agent Summit BAIDU AGENT SUMMIT (Chengdu) was held at the Tianfu Changdao Digital Creative Park in Chengdu. During the event, Baidu Smart Cloud officially launched the OPC Major Support Plan, opening up its Agent products and ecosystem capabilities to entrepreneurs.

To further drive agent capabilities into industrial scenarios, the Baidu Smart Cloud OPC Major Support Plan will also be implemented in Chengdu. Over the next three months, the company plans to invest 200 million yuan in product and market resources to fully support the development of the OPC ecosystem.

Leveraging Baidu's full-stack AI technology foundation, Baidu Smart Cloud will collaborate with government, enterprises, and ecosystem partners to build a super-individual community in the AIGC cultural and creative and general entertainment sectors, aiming to drive more agent capabilities deeper into content creation and industrial applications.
