From the first phase's focus on "advanced manufacturing" to this phase's theme of "quality home living," a large number of "Chinese intelligent manufacturing" products were showcased in a concentrated manner, unlocking new consumer experiences and demonstrating a clear people-oriented, life-serving character.
Making coffee, tidying up rooms, cleaning swimming pools, delivering items... At the 140th Canton Fair, various "hard-working" service robots made a concentrated appearance, and they are capable of entering households to genuinely lend people a hand. At the roughly 600-square-meter booth of Haier Group, the AI household robot "Haiwa" repeatedly drew praise from overseas buyers. It can autonomously complete a series of household chores: picking up dirty clothes left on the sofa, delivering them to the washing machine, then transferring them for drying, and finally putting them away; transporting identified fresh ingredients to the refrigerator and placing them in appropriate categorized positions... Zhang Qingfu, vice president of Haier Overseas Electric Appliances Industry Co., Ltd., said that "Haiwa" is not a standalone product, but rather creates a complete smart lifestyle for users by coordinating home appliance hardware, sharing the burden of people's daily trivial household chores.
Some cleaning tasks have also become simpler with the empowerment of robots. The reporter saw that many buyers gathered around a small "swimming pool," where a cleaning robot shuttled back and forth in the pool. "It does not walk randomly, but has already autonomously planned the optimal cleaning path in its 'brain'..." Feng Yang, executive president of Daisilke Technology Group Co., Ltd., introduced an intelligent wireless pool cleaning robot to overseas buyers, which can fully automatically complete pool cleaning from start to finish.
As a barometer of China's foreign trade, the Canton Fair has set up a service robot zone since its 137th session, and an increasing number of domestically produced robots are reaching overseas markets through this platform. Many overseas buyers are not there to "look at novelties, take a photo and leave," but through pragmatic negotiations and on-site factory visits, they transform their recognition of Chinese robot technology and solutions into solid orders. Ahmed Sobhy Mohamed, a buyer from Egypt, said: "The main purpose of my visit to the Canton Fair this time is to inspect AI robots. I want to bring these Chinese products back, and I believe they will be welcomed by the market."
At this Canton Fair, many daily necessities, furniture, and other exhibits have acquired an "AI brain" and "AI eyes." Through manufacturers' innovations in subtle details, they bring users a more comfortable experience.
At the booth of Sichuan Deep Sleep Smart Home Co., Ltd., overseas buyers lined up to lie on various smart mattresses and feel the massage rhythms at different frequencies. Company chairman Yin Boru introduced that through such "sleep-inducing" massage, combined with functions such as monitoring heart rate and recording the number of turns enabled by multiple sensors inside the mattress, the products help different groups of people improve their sleep. At present, the products are gradually opening up overseas markets, mainly in Europe.
"For some outdoor activity scenarios where it is inconvenient to use both hands, we used a magnetic lid design to innovatively develop this thermos cup that can be easily opened with one hand," said Zhang Bin, general manager of Shanghai Solid Stainless Steel Products Co., Ltd. He said the product was globally launched at the Canton Fair, hoping to show new and old overseas customers the company's ultimate pursuit of the people-oriented concept.
Many water-saving bathroom products attracted buyers' attention thanks to practical innovations. "The core highlight of this outdoor massage pool is the electric insulated cover we independently developed in response to users' needs for heat preservation and water saving," said Huang Jie'en, sales director of Guangdong Foshan Gaoming Yuehua Sanitary Ware Co., Ltd., while operating and introducing the company's product. "The cover can rise and lower automatically. Once closed, the pool body is completely sealed. Combined with the foam insulation layer in the middle of the cover, it can effectively reduce the loss of water and heat, which means it can lower the cost of adding water and heating."
Huang Jie'en said that over the five days of the exhibition, the company received more than 70 intended orders from multiple countries and regions around the world, with an order value exceeding 3 million yuan, and more than a dozen customers even purchased samples on site.
Dutch buyer Mike van der Vleuten said that Chinese home appliances and other products have done very well in intelligent upgrading and are highly competitive in the international market. Canadian buyer Rabih Zanan said, "What is impressive about Chinese products is that they can land the technology and achieve large-scale mass production and popularization."
Zhu Yong, director of the China Foreign Trade Centre, said that about 11,000 companies exhibited in the export section of the second phase of the Canton Fair, displaying 2.376 million products. Through the Canton Fair, a batch of "Chinese intelligent manufacturing" products that are "going green" and "going new" are being seen by more consumers around the world, injecting new experiences into the creation of a better life.
