WUHAN YOUJI (02881) has announced its financial results for the six-month period ending June 30, 2026, revealing a substantial increase in profitability despite a slight dip in revenue.
The company recorded revenue of RMB 1.408 billion, marking a 2.2% decline year-over-year. However, net profit climbed impressively by 126.4% to RMB 87.679 million, with basic earnings per share reaching RMB 0.94.
The decrease in revenue compared to the same period last year was primarily attributed to lower overall sales volume. This was driven by two key factors: the group's deliberate adoption of a prudent sales strategy focused on controlled volume to safeguard profit quality, and the impact of downstream demand patterns. During the period, chemical product prices continued their upward trend, prompting downstream clients to adopt a wait-and-see approach regarding price movements, which subsequently slowed their procurement pace.
