YIHAI INTL (01579) climbed more than 4% in late trading, last up 4.28% at HK$16.32 with turnover reaching HK$76.2873 million.
The company released its interim results, showing first-half revenue of RMB 3.347 billion, a 14.3% year-on-year increase, while profit attributable to shareholders rose 21.4% to RMB 375.6 million. Notably, the company declared an interim dividend of HK$0.4188 per share, achieving a 100% payout ratio (including 6% attributed to treasury shares), continuing its commitment to high shareholder returns.
Daiwa noted that YIHAI INTL's first-half performance exceeded expectations across all metrics, marking the first such outperformance in years, with upstream seasoning ingredients recovering faster than the downstream catering sector. While the market remains cautious about potential growth deceleration in the second half, Daiwa pointed out that the low base from last year and a still-favorable competitive landscape should support around 10% year-on-year sales growth for YIHAI INTL in H2—slightly softer than H1 but still representing solid double-digit expansion.
