Stock News09-25 22:10

On Friday, the US stock market saw widespread gains across the artificial intelligence sector, with Arm (ARM.US) rising more than 4%, Dell Technologies (DELL.US) climbing over 3%, and Super Micro Computer (SMCI.US) and Micron Technology (MU.US) each advancing more than 2%.

As demand for AI hardware drives a broad strengthening across the semiconductor sector, investors are turning their attention to CPU demand fueled by AI. Meta Platforms disclosed that its Muse AI agent has seen rapid adoption in CPU-based inference workloads, and Arm's CPU designs are regarded as a critical foundation for handling the scale of Muse-related AI inference, further highlighting the company's importance in the broader AI infrastructure discussion.

Additionally, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) released its latest annual report, citing external estimates that global AI investment led by the private sector could exceed $2 trillion this year. The report noted that AI-related technology investment is estimated to have boosted US GDP growth by 0.5 percentage points in 2025, and the acceleration in US productivity growth in recent years partly reflects the early positive effects of AI adoption.
