At its 2025 annual general meeting of shareholders, CM BANK outlined the distinct philosophy behind its wealth management system. The bank's Party Committee Secretary and designated President, Wang Xiaoqing, emphasized that the system's methodology differs from that commonly employed by internet-based platforms.
Wang detailed the underlying logic of the bank's wealth management framework, which is built upon five key pillars. The first involves gaining a precise understanding of clients and accurately assessing their individual risk-return preferences. The second step entails formulating asset allocation recommendations based on these client preferences combined with the bank's analysis of capital market trends.
The third component focuses on recommending a selection of high-quality, long-term investment products with proven performance track records. The fourth pillar involves the ongoing, dynamic monitoring of client portfolio risk and market fluctuations, representing a commitment to long-term client partnership throughout the investment journey. The fifth and final step is the continuous optimization of financial plans in response to evolving market conditions and shifts in client objectives.
Wang highlighted that this structure forms a complete value cycle. He identified the core and most critical element within this cycle as the asset allocation strategy grounded in a client's genuine risk-return profile. This area represents the bank's most significant investment of resources. CM BANK has developed a dedicated mechanism and methodology, referred to as TREE, which is subject to continuous refinement and iteration. The entire five-step process, Wang noted, originates from client needs and is ultimately measured by the tangible value, satisfaction, and overall experience delivered to the client.
He further elaborated on the collaborative nature of this ecosystem. While internet platforms excel in data analytics and online operations, and entities like the social security fund have mature asset allocation models, the securities industry possesses deep expertise in sector analysis, market research, and product evaluation. CM BANK adopts an open and cooperative approach, actively learning from and integrating these strengths. The bank maintains extensive partnerships within its ecosystem, collaborating with insurance companies, fund managers, and securities firms. A key focus is exploring more scientific methods to effectively incorporate the specialized market insights from securities partners into the ecosystem, thereby providing clients with richer, multi-dimensional sources of information for their financial decisions.
