National Day Getaway Guide: Simao Red Flag Hall Hosts "Resonant Landscapes — Ethnic Culture & Arts Week"

As golden autumn arrives in October, the land resonates with vibrant sounds. To celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and enrich the cultural and spiritual lives of Pu'er's diverse ethnic communities, the "Resonant Landscapes — Ethnic Culture & Arts Week" will be held from October 1st to 7th at the Pu'er Red Flag Hall. The event is organized by Pu'er Yijie Culture & Sports Development Co., Ltd. and hosted by Nage Culture.

Themed "Resonant Landscapes," this cultural week features the "Pu'er Reflections" photography exhibition as its centerpiece, complemented by film screenings and cultural dialogues. As a landmark of Pu'er's urban culture, the Red Flag Hall will showcase imagery capturing Pu'er's history, cultural evolution, and urban transformation, using the lens to preserve the collective memory of this city.

On October 1st at 10:00 AM, the opening ceremony will take place at the plaza in front of Area A of the Red Flag Hall. Attendees will enjoy a multi-part chorus and reed pipe dance performances by the Lahu ethnic troupe, followed by a professional ethnic costume fashion show. In the afternoon, Miao He, a senior expert from the China Film Art Research Center, and Zheng Jiamiao, a music doctoral graduate from Nie Er Conservatory of Music, will lead a guided viewing session titled "Praising the Nation, Forging the Soul — National Day Film Appreciation of 'Nie Er'". As evening falls, renowned Chinese director Huang Jianzhong will personally attend to introduce his film "My 1919" before its screening.

Throughout the arts week, additional highlights include a retrospective of director Huang Jianzhong's works, public welfare film screenings, ethnic music performances, and the ongoing "Pu'er Reflections" themed exhibition, all offering residents and visitors a feast of cinema and ethnic culture.
