SC Completes US$1.50 Billion Share Buy-Back After Final 0.54 Million-Share Purchase

Standard Chartered PLC (SC) has completed the share buy-back programme announced on 24 February 2026. The initiative, which began on 25 February 2026, concluded with the purchase of 539,518 ordinary shares on 24 June 2026 through the London Stock Exchange. The final tranche was executed at a volume-weighted average price of 2,058.32 pence, within a range of 2,041.00 pence to 2,076.00 pence per share.

Across the entire programme, SC repurchased 62.80 million ordinary shares for cancellation at a volume-weighted average price of £17.803262, deploying approximately US$1.50 billion.

Following cancellation of all repurchased shares, the company’s issued share capital will comprise 2,191,045,499 ordinary shares, which will also represent the total number of voting rights in issue.

The buy-back was conducted by J.P. Morgan Securities plc under pre-set parameters and in line with applicable UK regulations, as detailed in SC’s 24 February 2026 announcement.
