On November 2, Kimi announced the release of solutions designed for game development and creative work.
According to Kimi, these solutions are built upon the Kimi K3.1 Pro model, the Kimi Code and Kimi Work series of Agent products, along with specialized tool plugins for platforms including Unity, Unreal Engine, and Blender.
The company stated that the goal is to help game teams validate gameplay concepts more quickly, advance engineering and art production, and bring player feedback from publishing and operations back into the next round of iteration.
"The value of a game concept often cannot be judged until players actually get their hands on it: design documents can explain the rules, but they struggle to answer whether the controls feel intuitive, whether rewards are clear, or whether the pacing is engaging," Kimi noted.
If these issues only surface after levels, code, and assets have been largely completed, adjustments will involve more people and a bigger budget, the company added.
Kimi said it hopes to help teams produce a playable version with a clearly defined scope early on, and then decide how to invest based on real experience.
