Stock News04-29

BUSYMING (01768) rose more than 9% again. At the time of writing, the stock was up 7.65%, trading at HK$433.4 with a turnover of HK$110 million. On the news front, on April 17, BUSYMING's new immersive snack experience space—Snack Kingdom—officially opened at Furong Plaza in Changsha, Hunan. Snack Kingdom received the Guinness World Record certification for the "World's Largest Snack Store" on-site, thanks to its "extensive snack variety and massive floor area." Additionally, as a member of the BUSYMING Group, Snack Kingdom also issued a "Global Product Recruitment Initiative" upon its opening, officially seeking long-term cooperation with food manufacturers and brands worldwide. Zhongtai Securities released a research report stating that using Hunan as a benchmark and considering core variables such as urbanization levels, population density, climate characteristics, and economic foundations, the firm estimates there remains potential for over 40,000 new store openings in the discount snack retail industry. Under a neutral scenario, factoring in format substitution and channel transformation, the report expects that existing convenience store and supermarket locations could still contribute close to 40,000 potential new store opportunities for the discount snack retail sector.
