NEWBORNTOWN has announced its unaudited operational data for the first half. During this period, the company's innovation business is projected to generate revenue between approximately $65 million and $70 million, representing a year-on-year increase of about 35.4% to 45.8%.
The high growth is primarily attributed to the rapid expansion of the company's short drama business, which has been actively pursued and is being driven by artificial intelligence. Throughout the reporting period, the company continued to expand its short drama operations into multiple global markets, including Europe and the United States. Its platform, Playlet, has made significant progress in high-value markets such as the US, Japan, and South Korea, leading to a substantial increase in its user base.
In the first half of the year, Playlet integrated with Seedance 2.0, becoming one of the initial platforms to partner with it. According to a short drama revenue share report for the first quarter released by TikTok, the company's hit series ranked second in terms of first-month revenue share for a single series on the platform.
With AI significantly enhancing the production efficiency of short dramas, the company is well-positioned to leverage its localized operations and promotional capabilities to gain a competitive edge, further enriching its social entertainment content ecosystem.
