BBC Chairman Apologizes Over Trump Video Controversy

Deep News11-11

The chairman of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Samir Shah, issued an apology on November 10 regarding a controversial video involving former U.S. President Donald Trump.

In a letter addressed to the BBC, Trump demanded the withdrawal of a documentary produced by the broadcaster, threatening legal action if his request was not met. He set a deadline of 5:00 PM Eastern Time on November 14, 2025, for the BBC to respond. Failure to comply, Trump warned, would leave him no choice but to pursue legal remedies, including seeking damages of at least $1 billion (approximately 7.1 billion yuan).

The dispute stems from a BBC documentary that allegedly misrepresented Trump, prompting the former president to demand retraction and compensation.
