In the first quarter, Baiyin Nonferrous Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Group") achieved 109.63% of its quarterly target for copper, lead, and zinc product output, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.65%. The mining and processing system also surpassed its quarterly plans, with ore supply volume, metal content in ore supply, and concentrate metal output reaching 103.39%, 102.63%, and 108.58% of their respective targets, marking a successful production start for the year.
Since the beginning of the year, the Group has thoroughly implemented the guiding principles of key national and provincial meetings. It has focused on optimizing its industrial layout, improving operational mechanisms, and addressing development bottlenecks to strengthen the foundation for high-quality growth. Production continued uninterrupted during the Spring Festival holiday, with strengthened operational oversight to maximize capacity utilization. On the final day of the holiday, the Group held a strategic planning session to align on development goals for the upcoming period, identifying 132 key tasks for the year to secure a competitive advantage.
During the first quarter, the mining and processing system prioritized efficient production by enhancing stope preparation and transition processes. Through strict implementation of technical and management measures, key performance indicators such as ore grade, concentrate grade, and mineral processing recovery rate all met budget targets. Notably, the Xiaotieshan Mine optimized output by focusing on key mining areas and effectively executing monthly plans, exceeding its quarterly targets for ore output and metal volume by 3.12 and 4.13 percentage points, respectively.
The smelting system emphasized stable and continuous operation, proactively addressing production challenges in the late winter and early spring. By adjusting raw material mix and dynamically managing process loads in response to market conditions, the system maintained steady output while achieving new highs in product quality. The Baiyin Furnace and Flash Furnace operated at 100% utilization, with electrolytic tank operation also reaching full capacity. The grade of A-grade cathode copper rose to 98.55%, setting a record and leading the domestic industry. Four roasting furnaces at the Lead-Zinc Plant and Chengzhou Zinc Smelter also operated at 100% utilization. The grade of zinc products reached 100% for Zn99.995, with Chengzhou Zinc Smelter achieving 62% for Zn99.997 and producing Zn99.998 standard products for the first time.
Production service units also contributed significantly, actively securing market orders and accelerating project startups. Production lines for copper processing materials, wires and cables, and anode/cathode plates resumed operations quickly and ran at full capacity, leading to increased output. The railway logistics subsidiary reported a 4% year-on-year increase in logistics volume for the quarter, exceeding its budget target by 22,900 tons.
