Jiangsu province has released a three-year action plan (2026-2028) for the high-quality development of the commercial aerospace sector.

The plan emphasizes breaking through key technologies for heavy-lift and reusable rockets. It supports key enterprises in developing advanced liquid oxygen/kerosene and liquid oxygen/methane rocket engines to enhance launch capacity, conducting tests to verify rocket launch and recovery techniques, and accelerating technology iteration and maturity.

Additionally, the plan focuses on improving the self-sufficiency of key components and materials. It supports tackling core technological challenges in rocket structural, propulsion, and control subsystems, while advancing foundational capabilities in areas like sensing components and high-performance composite materials.

The plan also aims to strengthen launch and recovery verification capabilities. It supports collaboration between eligible regions and existing domestic launch sites, promotes the development of sea-based mobile launch equipment, and improves the support capacity for sea-based launch services.
