MINIEYE appoints Prof. Shi Ling as Chief Scientist, effective April 2026

On 15 April 2026, Minieye Technology Co., Ltd. (“MINIEYE”) issued a voluntary announcement confirming the appointment of Professor Shi Ling as Chief Scientist, with effect from April 2026.

In the new role, Prof. Shi will advise on the Group’s strategic direction, provide professional technical consultation, and participate in project development.

Academic background and current positions • PhD in Control & Dynamical Systems, California Institute of Technology (2008). • Director, Cheng Kar-Shun Robotics Institute, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). • Associate Director, Space Science and Technology Institute, HKUST. • Tenured Professor, Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, HKUST.

Research recognition Prof. Shi is an IEEE Fellow, a Young Scientist of both the World Laureates Forum and the World Economic Forum, and a member of the Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences. Key honours include: • Chen Hanfu Award. • First Prize, Natural Science Award—Ministry of Education (2017). • Second Prize, Natural Science Award of Shanghai (2019, 2024). • Inclusion in Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists List (2022).

Professional service He serves as associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems, IEEE Control Systems Letters, and International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, and holds editorial or committee roles with ECC, CDC, and ACC.

Board composition As of the announcement date, MINIEYE’s Board comprises four executive directors (Dr. Liu Guoqing, Mr. Yang Guang, Mr. Zhou Xiang, Mr. Wang Qicheng), two non-executive directors (Mr. Bi Lei, Ms. Liu Yiran), and three independent non-executive directors (Dr. Xiang Yang, Mr. Tan Kaiguo, Dr. Tan Mingkui).

The Board extended a formal welcome to Prof. Shi on his upcoming appointment.
