Ping An Bank's Dramatic Shift: From Anti-Internal Competition Pledge to "Battle" Declaration

Half a year ago on July 22, Ping An Bank Co., Ltd.'s Guangzhou branch held a mid-year work conference where over 200 employees signed an anti-internal competition pledge. Subsequently, more than 2,000 employees across the bank completed the signing.

On November 18, the Guangzhou branch convened a 2026 Party-building and Q1 business conference themed "Starting Means All-out Battle." The meeting outlined year-end closing strategies and 2026 opening plans, rallying employees with the "Long March spirit" to embark on new challenges.

The conference featured military historians analyzing the revolutionary conviction of "ideals above all" and the persevering spirit of "overcoming all difficulties."

Branch leadership declared 2026 as Guangzhou's "watershed year," emphasizing the need to draw wisdom from the Long March spirit to overcome developmental challenges like the historic Loushan Pass and Lazikou battles.

Resource departments including Finance and HR presented strategies focused on revenue growth, contribution optimization, and expansion targets, while Risk Management stressed balancing business growth with risk control.

Business unit heads outlined specific requirements for profitability enhancement, asset quality, customer operations, and team building, all aligning with headquarters' directives to strengthen execution for a successful start.

The branch president's mobilization speech examined core themes of "purpose of battle" and "keys to victory," highlighting Guangzhou's historical achievements, current competitive advantages, and calling for collective effort to restore glory through Long March-inspired determination.
